Neat Links

malwarebytes.org - Recommended by the American Dell tech support to check for viruses (freeware).  It picks up viruses that paid programs don't. Also it got CNET editors choice for April 2009.

ccleaner.com - Recommended by the American Dell tech support to clean your hard drive.

Mozy.com - I don’t know why everyone doesn’t have something like that and this company seems to have the best ratings. For example, it was Walter S. Mossberg’s choice (tech writer for the WSJ) who said “Of the two products, I prefer Mozy”. The cost for one personal computer with unlimited backup is $4.95 per month or $103.95 for two years. You signup and download their software, select the directories that you want to back up and it’s all automatic from there on.  Personally, I’ve got about $5000 in karaoke songs, about $1000 in music files, about a 1000 pictures, all my tax data and receipts and over a hundred decrypted movies for my TiVo that I would lose in a fire or computer virus. The cost of mozy.com for the rest of my life would pay for itself if I were to lose all that data just once not counting all the work, email addresses, emails, etc. that I would lose. For hard copy backups, a .pdf scanner is the way to go. It saves all your hard copies to .pdf files on your hard drive and then the mozy.com software will pick it up and back them up in cyberspace.

UniBlue.com - I like their Uniblue product bundle.  For example, it's and easy way to clean up registries and check and update drivers.

SlySoft.com - Their AnyDVD software is the best I've found for removing copy protection to backup DVDs.

Blair Spray (Matte) Coatings - BLICK art materials - Great for coating InkJet DVD's.  I use the HP Photosmart D7560 Printer.  It's got a DVD tray that's not really noticeable in the picture.

lgsoftwareinnovations.com  - Their 1Click DVD Copy Pro (click here for trial download) is the best I've found in conjunction with AnyDVD software to backup DVDs.

avs4you.com - Their AVS Editor software is the best I've found for converting the .flv video format to the .mpg, which is used by TiVo and to made video DVDs.  Actually the .VOB format is .mpg if you just rename the file extension.  They also have a .mpg to .flv  converter.

spamcop.net - I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have this one to filter my spam.

noteburner.com - Best software I've found for backing up copy protected iTunes songs.

dvdshrink.org - Their DVD shrink software is the best I've found for backing up DVD videos onto your hard drive in the .mpg format.  I hope this is the correct link.  It's freeware and there are some con artists selling it.  When I questioned them they claimed the charge was for tech support.  You don't need any tech support.  I recommend Nero Vision for getting the .mpg file on your hard drive back into a video DVD again.

cdgfix.com - Must have software for anyone seriously into Karaoke especially if your using the CAVS .mcg format with their players such as the 203B with USB (for an external hard drive).

karaokeware.com - Their FastTracks V2 software is the best I've found for karaoke songbooks.  It produces both hard copies and web pages of you songbook.  Click here for mine.

acoustica.com - I like CD/DVD label making software.  It also does LightScribe.

PowerKaraoke.com - Their Burn and copy software is the best and simplest I've found to put you favorite karaoke songs on one disk to take to a karaoke party.  Their Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder software is the easiest I've seen for computer based karaoke systems and is probably all you'd ever need.

cavsusa.com - Their 203B with USB I feel it the most practical, reasonable priced karaoke system.  I have a 32 GB flash drive instead of an external hard drive.  You need for format them for FAT-32.  There are 4200 songs on the flash drive which takes about 24 GB.  You can Google the model number and get it cheaper than directly from the company.  I recommend the CDG Fix software above for getting all you songs onto the hard drive.

ThePenMaster.com / ThePromotionMaster.com - The best writing pen I've found is the Uni-ball Signo 207. Click here for the Amazon.com reviews or Google it.  These people sell it with the logo.  I give them to everyone I know and ask them to make their purchases from Amazon and for vitamins via my website so I get the commission.

professionalphonegreeting.com - I got one for $50.  Click here to listen.  Yeah, I know I got carried away.

googlefont.com - Google font generator.

filerenamer.net - Great software if you need to rename multiple files.
